Creative Problem Solving (CPS)
Urban Homelessness in the U.S.
The United States, despite being the world’s wealthiest nation, faces a significant challenge in urban homelessness.
To address complex issues like these, IdeaGens employs a 3-phase, 6-step Creative Problem-Solving process:
Understanding Phase
- Identify key stakeholders and analyze the causes of the issue from multiple perspectives.
- For each identified cause, generate a wide range of potential ideas to address it.
Solution Phase
- Prioritize and select future-oriented aims from the ideas generated.
- Identify Critical Success Factors (CSFs) necessary to achieve these aims.
- Develop targeted ideas to address each CSF, ensuring a comprehensive approach to problem-solving.
Implementation Phase
- Break down selected decisions into actionable components: Activities, Inputs, Outputs, and Impacts.
- This structured approach ensures that solutions are actionable and measurable, driving meaningful outcomes.
